December 24, 2017 - Upon opening there was quite a bit of pot roast and salinity on the nose. This mellowed out a bit and "sweetened" after a couple hours in the decanter. The beef transitioned to Serrano ham both in flavor and its slightly briney, saline finish. While consistently well made, I think I've concluded that this syrah is on the lighter side of what I ultimately prefer.
