Community Tasting Note

December 18, 2017 - Weekly tasting group RWP #270: "Classical" wines (@ BS): Expressive bouquet with red and dark berries. On the palate ripe red and dark berries, chocolate, beautiful acidity, round tannin and soft bitterness in the finish. A beautiful and refined wine which is ready now and there is no hurry.

    12/28/17, 6:57 AM - Hello,
Just had the 2004, and found it quite sweet. This was by the way my first Hosanna.
Do you also find Hosanna sweet, or was it just a vintage thing?

    12/28/17, 7:43 AM - Hej Sundbyberg,
In this 2003 case I wrote that the fruits were ripe and in general that means for me there was a sweet note in the wine, which makes sense because of the vintage. I checked my notes about Hosanna of other vintages and the sweetness is not specifically mentioned. I don’t know what you drank or ate beside it….
    Anyway: Gott Nytt Ar.

12/28/17, 8:29 AM - Willing to travel? Found an unreal winelist with prices to die for, in a small town in Norway. I could e-mail you the list.
Nothing else in this village than a hotel with an extensive winelist at very good prices.

12/28/17, 1:58 PM - Always curious about wine lists….. But I am not Norwegian. Not even Scandinavian…. So the trip will be too far. And Norwegian prices…….. ;-)….???

12/28/17, 2:33 PM - I know where you are from, you told me once.
1 Norwegian krona = ca 0,1 euro. The krona has dropped considerably, since the oilprice started falling.

I can give you a few examples from the list (I received it in February, and then it was from 2016). The list is 142 pages long:

    12/28/17, 2:48 PM - I don’t remember exactly what I have told you….
I am afraid the Swedish friends have moved to Portugal.
But I have a good friend living in Oslo…:-)
Whenever I will go to Sweden or Norway again I can contact you. Would be nice to share e few wines together.

12/28/17, 2:52 PM - And yes, the prices in the list are fair. Especially for Scandinavian standards. :-)!!!
