  January 27, 2018 - A very enjoyable bottle. Perfect cork, still only stained on the very bottom. Cork pulled an hour or two before dinner, no decant, no small pour to allow additional air. Not giving much up on the nose initially, but that first taste was a lovely dark red full fruit. A bit of garrigue, but no hint of leather or barnyard, a very clean bottle of CdP. The wine showed better closer to 60º than 70º. Paired with a simply prepared rack of lamb and roasted brussel sprouts and enjoyed over 2-3 hours. Tannins essentially fully resolved, plenty of fruit and no hint of fading. This bottle has 5-10 years in it no problem. I imagine / hope this is how the 05s will eventually turn out in another decade. If so I'll be one happy man. Enjoy now or consume over the next five years.
