February 2, 2018 - I laughed when I saw that there are still 9 bottles listed in the CT inventory for this wine - at least I'm not the only guy that loses track of inventory! At any rate, reorganizing the cellar recently turned up this lost bottle. I bought the wine on release, so it's been stored at 55 all these years - in fact, if memory serves, this was a relatively new bottling for the Perrin family at the time, although I can't remember if '90 was the inaugural vintage.
The cork was sound, and the color, while light, was still a decent shade of maroon. Nose could certainly be described as Autumnal, but nothing objectionable.
Somewhat faint/dilute on the palate, but again, not dead. I've put worse things in my mouth for sure ;^)
Hopefully this was my last bottle!1,340 views

2/2/18, 1:07 PM - Bob, how come it is always a wine like this that turns up instead of an unexpected Giacosa or Conterno? Have a great weekend.
