    February 4, 2018 - Rich and luscious. Not the typical description I’d give to a Vat 8. The colour has a fluro purple tinge to it and the nose is alluring. As soon as you taste it becomes obvious as the ‘14 vintage, which I keep raving about, for good reason. Power to those who have stocked up.

    7/16/18, 5:45 AM - The shiraz component dominates at this stage. The regionality is there albeit from a big year for the Hunter. It will be interesting to see how this develops,over the next eight years and if the cabernet component comes through. Which brings to mind, will Tyrrell’s ever go the O’Shea path and try a shiraz/Pinot noir blend?

    7/17/18, 4:27 AM - Good comment - and I've got the same curiosity on development. The '17 Vat 8 showed well recently too. And speaking of '17s, the Vat 6 pinot is surprisingly good, although I'd rather see it in a classic O'Shea style of blend!
