  February 7, 2018 - Surprised to find one of these in the rack and decided it had to be finished off. This is still dark garnet to light ruby. Nose of ripe black fruit and spice. I noticed that a lot of sediment has adhered to the side of the bottle so was expecting the tannins to have softened completely and so it proved. In the mouth this was still fruit led, alcohol now not standing out and there was just enough acidity to provide a pleasing structure. Not overwhelming or jammy this had good balance and was a pleasure to drink. Took its time getting there but this is in a good place.
