February 4, 2018 - Wines tasted during Super Bowl LII (Chez Kailin): Post-Super Bowl cellar raid treat. Small glass from a bottle that was passed around. Showy and forward already with good concentration of black cherry. Good meat and spice notes throughout. Very Gevrey, but didn't stand out as GC from the brief glimpse tonight.

3/3/18, 8:22 AM - Quite normal that it didn't stand out as Gevrey, as it is a Morey. The soil in CdlR contains much more clay with iron minerals (beside the „Roches“ id est chalk stones) than the other climats from Rousseau. The only Gevrey climate ressembling CdlR is 1er cru Combettes, but none in Rousseau's range.
