February 2, 2017 - 2007 CdP retro (with sushi food pairing) (Streeterville, Chicago): Nose: The nose shows a lot of extraction and alcohol with licorice, black cherries, black raspberries, and black spices.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium tannins and medium- acidity. The tannins are a bit stiff with the feel showing a lot of alcohol and licorice, black cherries, liqueur tones, and prunes.

Overall: This is overblown and overextracted. The alcohol is out of balance which ends up causing the nose and palate to be out of balance.

2/8/18, 6:30 PM - Sounds like you should sell the rest of your 2007 CdPs. I opened a 2007 Charvin tonight and loved it. YMMV.
