February 9, 2018 - This was such a lovely and elegant vision of what Barolo can really be...a more elegant and poised version. There is tannin present, but it was not overtly tannic and there was enough acidity to offer lift and balance with the floral elements on the nose and the tart red fruits on the palate. Outstanding!!! Not drinking this now may prove to be more difficult that I might want.

2/10/18, 7:04 PM - It's lovely now...it's a wine that I think I'm going to have a hard time not drinking in the near future. The more traditional Elio Grasso is going to require patience and commitment. This is just a lovely, elegant wine right now...I'm glad I have more. Yet, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to cellar them. Because I already want to drink another bottle right now. I'm not sure this is worth the $100+ price take I'm seeing it fetch now...but at the $55 I paid for it, I sure do wish I had bought more.

6/2/18, 5:47 PM - I can’t wait to hear how the wine is showing now...I’ve been thinking about opening another bottle...but I’m starting to wonder if/when they might shut down and need to be left alone.

6/2/18, 6:44 PM - Kurt- Just took 2 pages of "train of consciousness" notes on this wine, its in no way about to shut down and Mrs. Knurd just came and asked me how many bottles of this we have left. By far the best Acclivi I have had, though I only have experience with 5 vintages. Tremendous wine, I can't wait to get into some of the 2013 single cru's I have from Burlotto.
