  February 17, 2018 - (Disclaimer: I know I’m drinking this young – hence no rating.) PnP, but plan to drink over several hours as I’m making a brisket on the Big Green Egg. Initial nose reveals some green/funky/gamey notes, and chalky tannins are clearly present. Fruit is somewhat muted, but consistent with the Larkmead style.
  
  A few hours later…..nose has evolved to include chocolate overtones, and funkiness has mostly faded. Flavor profile still exhibits some youthful tartness, but this wine is definitely improving with some time and air. Tannins are still very present, as are the "green" qualities. Give this wine plenty of time or plenty of air. Definitely heading towards low to mid 90s, but I would wait a couple more years.
