2/19/18, 3:27 PM - Mike Smith was the winemaker on the 15 Vice Versa wines...makes sense
great note - can wait to open one of these

2/19/18, 3:34 PM - Actually, the VV BBS Crane in this case was a 2016 (a la Melka). However, we also had a 2015 VV Crane the same evening that was strikingly similar to the 2015 Elysian (to your point). All great wines. The Elysian is absolutely phenomenal in 2015!

6/3/18, 11:05 AM - CSIMM: I plan to open one tonight. Does it need to be decanted, and if so, how long would you recommend? I was thinking of opening it up soon, not decanting, and letting it breath slowly but would like your thoughts!

6/3/18, 12:38 PM - I wouldn’t bother decanting it all too early. As you mentioned, just popping the cork and letting it breathe seems like it would be fine. Even on PnP it is approachable. A little air is prudent I think, but it’s not one of those wines that needs to be decanted 8 hours before consumption.
