March 8, 2018 - Better freshness coming out of Saint Emilion (Actually two locations: UGCB in New York (1/2018) and in Saint Emilion (12/2017)): Well, well, well. I like this just about as much as the Angélus. It seems to have a bit more freshness in its profile. Sure, it has 15% alcohol and with 100% Merlot, but the new oak is but 60%. While it lacks the depth and density of Angélus, it gains in terms of lift on the finish. Nice job.

6/23/19, 11:48 AM - You are SO correct about this wine... I'm glad i bought what i did! Lovely wine that is somewhere between Gran Vin Angelus and L'Carrilion... Can't say i've had the 2015 Angelus - but i have had the L'Carrillion and other vintages of Angelus, this is right up there... Great Call!
