  April 2, 2018 - This is surprisingly lean for the vintage but it really works for this wine. It is Margaux-like in nose and on the palate, at least for the first hour or so, then it begins to reveal its California roots, but never in an over the top way. The wine is ruby in color and red and black fruit in profile, violets graphite, cassis and embers, long finish.
