April 8, 2018 - Opened for 4 hours, but elected not to decant. Nearly translucent violet red. Nose has mix of red and dark berries, pepper, earth and garrique - transfixing. Palate has medium weight fruit, active tannins, good acidity acidity, some etoh heat (but not out of proportion). Nice penetration and length. Complexity of aromas, flavor and palate feel. This is in a very good place. Great match with pork tenderloin.
