April 9, 2018 - Spectacular Papa’s syrah showing a more savoury, meaty side of this vineyards characteristics than the 2014. I almost think it’s even better for it despite what the vintage charts might say. Less exuberantly fruity but more ‘dark’, smoky, savoury all the while it is just a plain joy to drink with great richness, body and surplus. Soft tannins, full body, long finish, with notes from both the Côte-Rôtie and the New World combining for a remakable wine full of character while being very easy to appreciate. A great Papa’s!
