  May 5, 2018 - Year in and year out the Montafi zinfandel from Carlisle is one of my favorite wines so drinking one for my birthday dinner. The color shows deep pomegranate with a soft and rich glow. There’s a nice woodsy pitch to the nose with bramble and spice. The palate is unctuous with layers of dark sugary fruits and a peppery snap before a long mineral laden finish.
