  May 7, 2018 - Similar to my notes on 9/9/2017. Beautifully pure and sexy black core fruit. Scorched earth, fresh vanilla bean, fresh asphalt, incense, clove, black tar heroin (kinda like an adult tootsie roll dipped in vermouth and Angostura bitters), and some black soil. A superb example of To Kalon, with just a hint of semi-sweet chocolate to crank up an even more accessible and voluptuous mouthfeel. Those who are modern-Cab adverse best not troll in these waters, as this is a full-bodied example of the varietal. But there is also a finesse and skillful delivery here that I don't often see from this site. Silky smooth across the palate (signature Fayard), with a back end that would make a Kardashian envious.
  
  Drink now and over the next 5+ years. 97 points all day long for my palate (possibly underscoring).
