May 5, 2018 - Please note: like the photograph for this wine, the 2014 vintage is "American". The Chardonnay carries neither the Colorado nor the Grand Valley regions/appellations.
Yellow gold, medium legs. Dominant aromas are of tropical fruit: banana, mango, pineapple. Clearly present are light toast, vanilla and oak. There are hints of spice and floral: dill, honeysuckle, a touch of pepper, and even a touch bread. On the palate, a bit of lemon comes through while tropical fruits remain and spices are more clearly revealed. Medium body, bright texture, medium finish, medium to medium-plus acidity. A varietally correct yet interesting Chardonnay due to the clear dominance of tropical fruit. At $17 - $18, QPR is below average. But certainly worth a try if interested in noble varietals from small vintners. Drink now.1 person found this helpful 451 views
