  May 16, 2018 - This either needs a few years or several hours of decanting. Tight as a drum and a bit flabby. Though it shows through the fog and flab that this is a pedigree Bedrock and just needs some time. Kicking myself for opening a 2016 too soon.

  5/18/18, 6:31 PM - Scores for this wine are all over the place. We shared a bottle with friends after an all day decant/aeration. That opened it up, but as tasty as that was, the wine needs, my guess, another year to for the Zin and Mourvedre to fuse aromatically. We thought the palate was richly fruity and readily enjoyable.

  5/21/18, 7:14 PM - Good point, as noted I committed a cardinal mistake by opening this. Agreed scores are all over the place, and perhaps not fair to score given the tightness, but sometimes curiosity trumps patience—that is something I accept as a fault this time! thanks for the comment!
