  May 19, 2018 - I am a major fan of Ducru and this 98 was really enjoyable. I believe that it falls significantly short of the 96 and 00, but there are still many treasures to be found. Very expressive nose of cherry, cassis, earth, and some pencil. Pretty much the same on the palate, though with less intense complexity than the nose. The typical nobility in the mouth that I love about Ducru, but just not on the same level as the 96 and 00. At its current pricing I would definitely buy more of this as I wait for my 03 and 05 Ducru to emerge from their shells. 92 Pts
