  May 21, 2018 - Very dark ruby/purple turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The notes gives off aged meat amidst dark fruits, tobacco, smoke, dried oregano and basil. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, brightly acidic, and aptly balanced. Flavors of blackberry, black tea, espresso, scorched oak barrel, and vanilla. Finishes long and lifted with hints of ginger amongst gripping bur attractive tannin. This is quite attractive at five years of age. It’s thoroughly enjoyable now for its vibrant youth and energy, but will age gracefully until 2028.
