Community Tasting Note

May 21, 2018 - This is extraordinary. The wine is so silky, it is effortless to taste and drink. The fruits paint your palate. But the wine is light on its feet. Sensuous, sexy and racy, the fruit offers a melange of red and black cherries, plums. In the finish you find a griotte sensation that sticks with you for close to 60 seconds. This perfect mix of elegance and purity should age effortlessly for decades.

7/15/18, 6:46 PM - How many wines do you score 100 points: 50%? Way too many to be worthwhile reading. It Would be great to rethink your ratings

7/15/18, 8:26 PM - Normally I would not bother responding to a post like yours, but I’m in a fun mood.

First, have you tasted 2015 Palmer? If so, what would you rate it?

Next, because you asked, out of about 17,000 tasting notes, 160 wines have hit 100 Pts IMO. If that’s too many for you, I’m sorry about that.

If you feel my ratings are not accurate or worthwhile, I’m OK with that. Do not read them.

12/3/18, 1:49 PM - I HAVE tasted the wine and it's incridible! Altough not the Ace yet, but I rate the Ch.Palmer 98 points for now and it's absolutely one of the top wines from the 15'vintage!

12/4/18, 6:11 AM - I have yet to taste a wine reviewed by Jeff that he rated 100 points that wasn't 100 points,

    3/9/19, 3:29 PM - I yet to taste there wine. I did purchase a 3 Ltr. of the 2015. I'm looking in to buying a a 375 or a 750 to experience it.
My question to you is. They are offering a 2016 Palmer Historical XIXth Century wine. I don't see any commits on the wine. What are your thoughts?

  • Jeff Leve commented:

3/10/19, 8:49 AM - They made very little Historical 16, so I did not get to taste it. But both the 2015 Palmer and 2016 Palmer are better wines that sell for money. Buy those...
