July 8, 2018 - This wine is CRAZY...and I love it! I don't know if this is normal, but the clear glass bottle is completely stained in bright red juice all the way to the top! My first thought was an adult Welch's Grape juice! Not as dark, more red berry fruits...but has that initial freshly pressed, intense sweet(perceived) fruit, glass staining grapiness. But then you taste it...and OH is it so much more! Really bright fresh crushed berry fruits...raspberry, cherry, plum, strawberry, rhubarb...and yes, I get the beet thing! Beet salad comes to mind...totally savory and not too sweet at all. Smooth and quite lovely mouthfeel...sneaky dusty tannins, and mead like spices. Add some pretty florals, very slight whole cluster stem funk...COOL rusticity...I can picture the juices oozing between Larry's toes! I'm drinking this at cellar temp, but I can see this chilled and drunk like a more substantial Rose'! This is some FUN stuff!
