July 16, 2018 - Simply the best O’Shea I have tasted albeit it was last tasted about four yeArs ago. I could afford to buy a dozen back then. To my mind a better wine than the much lauded and overpriced 2014. The 2000 was not overoaked and had a seemless classic Hunter palate from start to finish. Like all great Hunters it's balance made it incredibly good drinking when it was released.

12/28/18, 2:09 PM - Great comment Cogo and I’m in agreement with you on the 2000 being a Hunter classic. The 2014 O’Shea is an epic wine, albeit in a different mould to the 2000. On a personal level, it’s a shame to see current vintages north of $250 a bottle, means I won’t continue to purchase regularly. But the price point reflects both the quality and (assumably) the demand, which is positive for Mount Pleasant and the Hunter in general, just not so much for most punters
