  August 5, 2018 - Dark, saturated ruby robe. Kirsch, red berry, pepper, vanilla, and herb bouquet. Long and mouthfilling. To me, the concentration of this wine surprised me. The tannins, which come in part from a fairly prominent oak treatment take nearly an hour to resolve. Very enjoyable but will clearly last and evolve for several more years. There is an underlying simplicity to the fruit that I would associate with a simple Bourgogne rouge but this wine is intense and crafted. Quite enjoyable.
