  August 23, 2018 - Very nice. Ruby/Garnet in color. Moderately opaque. Nose is heavily perfumed but overlayed with earth and coffee tones. Alcohol is intense on this and needs to blow off a bit I think. Alcohol is powerful on the nose right out of the bottle. Hints of toffee. Red Raspberry and black cherry on the palate. Hints of earth and spice wrapped in saddle leather. Hot. Moderate tannins but a bit higher on acidity. Wine balances well and has a strong finish of balance deep fruit rolling against dry sand. Very solid wine and value.
