August 29, 2018 - Drunk from a 375. Served with Wagyu beef and mushrooms. Wonderful earthy nose with spicy notes. Dark purple with no bricking. Mature, but it could go for a few more years with no problem. Bodes well for the Magnum that is sitting in the cellar. Cassis, cedar, and mocha. Smooth tannins with a muted oak flavor. Fairly long finish. Very nice wine for an excellent meal.
