September 22, 2018 - Classic Pessac with black cherry, chocolate, tobacco and brick/mineral notes, yet a very modern fruit profile is dominant. There are two personalities to this as it unwinds alternating modern and giving and tannic and unyielding phases.

Beautiful nose, and good overall composition, but there are blueberry/balsamic and cherry reduction notes that are cause for pause.

1/6/19, 8:00 AM - Decanted 3 hours. My worry is the balsamic/figgy VA notes. Of the three wines on the table it showed the most ripeness, and had some bizzare times when is smelled/tasted like balsamic reduction. I would just check in on it every few years. Did not strike me as a wine that will be 100% certain 30 years on.
