  September 27, 2018 - (Decanted for two hours.) This is a wow wine all the way. It has a beautifully deep red-purple color and an inviting nose of cherries, raspberries, fennel, sweat and smoke. In the mouth it is full bodied with bright, persistent and layered flavors of raspberry compote, bacon fat, licorice, and iron mineral. Bristling acidity supports and firm but elegant tannins frame these flavors perfectly. The swelling finish lasts nearly forty seconds. Big, sexy and delicious, this wine should evolve beautifully. My favorite 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape so far. 98+ points.
