  September 27, 2018 - Powerful, intense dark fruit that transitions into a slightly sweet soft finish. This is a perfect example of the iron fist in a velvet glove analogy. Feel 4 hours of air is necessary to calm this wine down. Youthful and make no mistake, a big boy wine. Impressive as I remember this wine not being rated all that highly at release. Really has turned out to be a great effort by Shafer. Recommend with air.
