  September 30, 2018 - Intensely dark, clear, no sign of age. Nose at the black fruit end, tarry, muddled. In the mouth this was brutal. An unprovoked assault on tongue and teeth. Tannin fine but intense, fruit profile was dark and jammy, a bit of burnt sugar, smoke, herb and tar. Acidity a bit prominent on the finish but not where it might have done some good, on entry. An absolute beast of a wine. Quite tiring and to my mind not worth the effort. Others may say it’s not ready yet but I really don’t think this has got any potential.
