  November 3, 2018 - Popped and poured directly after a '14 Vietti Castiglione, and this is clearly a step above. It reminds me a bit of the '12 Bartolo. It's got pitch and some pretty red cherry fruit notes, and of course it's a bit unyielding and monotone at this point. There isn't really the headiness or tension of my favorite vintages. Acid. I suppose I'm happy to have some at release price, but I'm also happy I didn't pay up for it.
