September 28, 2018 - (Disgorged in March 2018, 100% Pinot Noir from Grand Cru parcel Pierre Robert in Aÿ, Brut Nature, dosage 0 gr/l)
Lovely yellow colour with a light copper red hue and a stream of fine bubbles. Youthful nose showing warm red berries, freshly baked bread, red apples and a hint of mandarin citrus. Smooth palate with softened acidity and with lots of red apples and with a lengthy creamy finish showing a bit of mandarin citrus zest, especially when it opens up and gets a bit warmer. This is a very good cuvée with potential for further cellaring over the coming decade, and at the same time reflecting the vintage fruitful and pleasant style.. (Probably best 2020-2030)
