November 4, 2018 - This wine is good, even great, but I don’t see the 97+ that Lisa from WA gave it last month. The nose has nice black fruits, camp fire smoke, leather and oak. Big body with more dark berries and some plum. More smoke near the finish which is a nice 20+ seconds of mouth watering goodness. My first 3 twins, and Quite a different wine from the Crane or G3 offerings, but a solid wine. Myriad consistently offers great QPR, but I’m still not sure this warrants a 97+... This did improve with air, so I’m curious to see how my next bottle evolves in a couple years.

11/5/18, 6:26 AM - Nice note. I was surprised by Lisa Perrotti-Brown's 97+ rating after tasting the 2016 3 Twins in the summer. I thought it was quite good but in my opinion it wasn't close to the Myriad Steltzner and Myriad G3 Empyrean. No surprise she rated those wines 97+ and 98. Take care.

A great nose can be half the enjoyment of drinking a fine wine. And as Badmonkey stated, I also agree with just about every other rating from Lisa, of this 2016 Myriad lineup, just not on this one.

11/7/18, 6:38 PM - I agree that nose is an enjoyable part of tasting, but I have had many wines with stinky nose that tasted great, many with almost no nose but great flavor, and many with great nose but the elements did not come through to the taste at all. So I like the nose but I just don't give it any weight in my scores.
