November 4, 2018 - Got these, stuck one in the freezer for 20 min and then PnPed. Now open for about 20 minutes. The nose on this is opening and just so damn beautiful: potent, light, racy, very complex. Flavors of honey, herbs, lime, kaffir lime, white flowers, honeysuckle, tangerine, curry? sugar cookies? Definitely some brothy concentration. Delicious on the palate - not the raciest Riesling I've had, and maybe lacking a bit more zing than I'd prefer but there is solid acidity and there is so much else going on that this is still spectacular. Orchard fruits, lime, sugar candy, herbs, honey. Gossamer, crystalline and pure. The finish is lipsmacking and wide with lime, herbs, honey. The Auslese was the best of the amazing 16's and this wine is a worthy successor. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20.

    11/4/18, 10:29 PM - Sorry, but I can't resist: 17.5/20 = 95 ??? Either it is around 88 Pts or it should be 19/20...
Btw: I adore this wine and think that 95 / 19/20 would be right :)

    11/4/18, 10:41 PM - From my profile: "Since there have been a number of comments/questions, I translate from a 20-point score (T) to a 100-point score (H) using the function: H = 2T+60, so I have an effective range of scores on a 100-point scale of 60-100."
