Community Tasting Note

November 10, 2018 - Standout of a Syrah blind tasting evening. Drinking beautifully right now. Massive nose of dried and stewed dark red fruits along with cedar, pepper and licorice. Lots of depth and complexity on the palate. Briliant med+ body. Fine tannins and surprising freshness for a 14 yr old wine. No jammy or flabbiness here. Closing in on perfect and a fraction of the price vs. Grange or Hill of Grace.

    11/11/18, 5:56 PM - I thought you opened the 2004?
Anyhow, fantastic and my favourite of the event. No brainer....as soon as I smelled it I was in paradise!

11/12/18, 10:53 AM - You're correct, we had the 2004. It appears I entered my two bottles under 2005 because they have been wrapped ever since purchase at the cellar door in Barossa. We had also purchased two bottles of the 2005 Descendant at the time (unwrapped). Then when I joined CT and entered my inventory I must have thought the Runrigs were 2005 as well. I've now corrected that in CT.
