November 18, 2018 - It has been a couple years since I wrote a note on this and still largely agree with my previous comments - at our acquisition price this is one of the best QPR wines I have ever had. This is my low end entry level go to port especially w/ cigars (TF 20 being my higher end go to port). What has really struck me with these last few bottles is how much it mellows out and improves in the first 1-2 weeks so if a larger group is going to consume the entire bottle at one sitting this will definitely improve with even a rather impromptu splash decant. Warm dark caramel color, muted but sweet raisin, plum and mocha on the nose, very reasonable length of aftertaste, initially reasonably well integrated with no off tones and THIS is what really improves with air. Primary flavor profile of caramel, mocha, raisins and burnt sugar. Highly recommend this as an entry level port.
