  June 2, 2008 - It's not every year I get to drink Romanee-Conti on my birthday. And this bottle really hit the spot. The nose was an explosion of dark fruit, cinnamon, clove, clay, lavender, and a touch of vanilla and grass. In the mouth, the balance was remarkable, the wine very silky, and the finish went on and on. It was fun to luxuriate over this one.
