  January 5, 2019 - Slow-ox'ed for about 4 hours. Doubt it needed it, though. A tremendous showing: dense, pure, ripe but not cloying, with good structure and power. Notes of smoke, anise, game and bramble. Evident minerality. Great lift. Loved the texture, too. The last bottle I opened was about 5 years ago, and this represented a big step up.
