  January 12, 2019 - PnP. Sampled in the glass. Garnet fading through purple-red to a thin strip of orange at the edge. Decanted and poured a few minutes later. Aromas of cherry, menthol, violet, iron, garrigue, a hint of vanilla, some funk, some volatile blowoff. Moderate legs. On the palate bright red fruit, menthol, high- acid and tannin, medium- body leaving a slightly mouth-watering finish. The wine body and tannin ontinued to fill in during and after dinner taking on more of a mouth-drying finish.
