January 12, 2019 - Nose: Raspberry, cracked pepper, florals, blackberry, sweet oak and leather / garigue notes. Palate: Lighter weighted, almost burgundian as others have noted. Red berries, tea, florals and black pepper. Quite gamey, but supported by fruit and acidity that make this very lively on the palate. Finish: Tannic at this time but two glasses aired overnight smoothed out nicely.

This is my style of Pegau. QPR is outstanding, and I do see improvement for this over time.
