January 26, 2019 - Jammy cabernet maybe a little too much residual sugar. Chewy mouth feel, mellow tannins. Not built for the long haul. Screw top. Restaurant Cab $18/glass no one will complain. Drinks day 2 as same as day 1.

2/4/19, 1:45 AM - This is why I love BYO restaurants, $18 (USD I assume) is a bit less the double what I paid for the bottle, admitably on special. I haven't tasted this vintage yet but previous ones have shown a propensity to age well. Had an 09 a couple of months ago and it was great. The 12 had good reviews and I was hoping it had good ageing potential

2/4/19, 2:55 PM - Interesting comment. Perhaps they got a bit cooked on the way to the US. The label is, generally, built for the long haul and 2012 is a good example of this wine. I find 10-15 years the sweet spot but still have 1998s drinking well and 2008 still a bit young (although that one is not the norm). Some people consider this one of the most prominent and important wines in Australia. It is certainly the most collected.
