  January 30, 2019 - I popped the cork expecting to need some time to breathe life into a mature Nebbiolo, but what I got was an immediately perfumed and generous wine. Menthol, tea, cherry, worn leather, just a perfect old bouquet. Surely the palate will be awkward, dry, and acidic though? Nope! it's silken, supple, and warm with cherry, tobacco, and a raisiny kind of sweetness that gives body and depth without seeming sugary. Magnificent.
