February 21, 2019 - Loser Pays for Dinner - 1999 - 2012 N. Rhone Blind Tasting (Giando's): Tasted blind, my 2nd, group's 2nd! Now we are getting somewhere! The nose had a lovely red fruit and mint sensation with some spices that was fairly expressive. Medium body, red fruit, super elegant palate, spice. Although the Allemand concentration sucked me in to give that wine top spot, I think this ultimately showed better balance so I give it one higher point. Also I'm biased because this was my contribution to the tasting.

2/22/19, 7:08 AM - Hi Seth. Thanks for your comment. I think this particular group is relatively ‘exploring’ N Rhônes and Guigal was a House name to fall back on. I don’t particularly care for their wines although I’ve had some decent older ones.
