Community Tasting Note

March 9, 2019 - Popped and poured as a Saturday afternoon sipper.

Pretty crimson color, somewhat turbid. Not super bright.

Nose of menthol, bay leaf, cherries, and almost a ferrous quality.

On palate, wine is sound, medium acidity, low tannins, short finish. Fruit is fleeting. Pleasant but not that interesting to me.

I continue to be puzzled by the love that these wines get on certain message boards. Maybe I'm just missing it, but I have to be true to my own tastes. I guess James Laube and I should get together for drinks sometime.

3/5/20, 2:26 AM - JL comment was funny. Unless your palate has become like a vine past its prime probably not the issue. Have seen some bottle variation for Kutch wines but bottom line is they need time.
