  March 16, 2019 - Perfect score. The wine that hooked me on collecting 15 years ago was the 1991 Maya. This 2012 version is a downright spectacular wine. The 50% Cab Franc gives this wine special power, backbone, and over the top flavors. This is in it's youth, very drinkable but with a very long life ahead. It intoxicating bouquet of mascerated blackberries, currants and tobacco bursts from the glass. Puckering acidity to go with the dense fruit and big tannins forecasts great things for this vintage. What a fun, over the top experience this is. A tour de force for Dalla Valle. Bravo!
