  March 22, 2019 - Decanted around 6:15 pm and enjoyed a few hours later at Zest Szechuan on West 39th. Initially, some red fruits on the palate that turn to dark fruits, a bit tarter than expected, with some bright, lick-smacking acidity. With air, this was all dark Syrah blue/black plummy-berry fruit, a very smooth palate and really pleasing texture. Paired well with roast duck, of course. Very satisfying wine tonight. Drinking very well with a good decant, but also seems to have the acidity to go long in the cellar.
