March 26, 2019 - Drinking very well - cork a little troubling before opening - thought I might have had a bad bottle, with some funk which blew off quickly. This was excellent - as the previous poster noted the Sangiovese is coming through strongly. Leathery and floral quite similar to a good Brunello. Mid length finish - 40 seconds. A fair amount of sediment. Cellared since purchase in 2005, and unfortunately my only bottle.
Paired with excellent pizza from Frank Pepe.1 person found this helpful 1,303 views

2/8/22, 6:47 PM - Hello fellow NJersian. Just curious how you get access to such great bottles. I have been in this wine hobby for the past 7-8 years, collected over 600 bottles, but most are young (not counting some Riojas, Cali Zins and few Bordeaux bottles). Thank you.
