April 7, 2019 - Still so great but declined over the last year. Still it is perfumed and better than most. Aromatically sour after a 3 hour decant. On the pallete it feels past its prime. It is in the mid pallete that this wine shines. Long and lingering notes of mulberry and cherry fruit. Finish is stinging with cherry tannins and acid. The wine is weird. I thought it could Improve but it is in a strange spot. I think it would improve given this phase.
