  April 12, 2019 - This was a wine that I affirmatively did not like. It was hot and muddled and bitter and lots of other unpleasant things. It was part of our CT "off the beaten path" tasting, and was almost unanimously the lowest score wine of all 11 of us. I am scoring this as a 69 as, at least for me, this is a wine to avoid. I have one more bottle -- so perhaps this is a bottle issue (though it did not seem flawed in that way), or maybe it will magically transform itself into something better. But I am not holding my breath.

  4/12/19, 1:35 PM - Hi Ron, I perfectly understand your situation. But may I suggest: If the wine was flawed, than mark it as such. If you just don't like it, don't rate it "officially", as it spoils the overall rating. This is how I do this.
  
  This wine is certainly controversial, but regardless of personal preference for sure a very good wine (88+).

  4/12/19, 1:47 PM - Oh absolutely. I am pretty convinced that it was not flawed. And the other ten also did not think it was flawed. If I open the second one and it is remarkably different, I will come back and change this note to indicate flaw or some odd bottle variation, and remove the score. Like you, I don't score flawed wines -- that is not useful for me or others in determining whether it is a wine I will like. I also don't do scores without notes -- as I find the notes help me to put the scores in context.
